The N-Ferno 6811ZI Zippered Rib Knit Beanie Hat with Bump Cap Insert provides warmth, as well as lightweight protection from bumps, scrapes, bruises and other minor head injuries. Wear this soft cuffed beanie alone or open the back zippered compartment to add the 8945 Universal Bump Cap Insert (included) for work in cramped spaces. Made with 100% soft dry acrylic and 40-gram 3M flex stretch insulation for a warm, comfortable fit. Compatible with 8945F(x) and 8943F(x) Universal Bump Cap Inserts. Included with the ribbed knit beanie is a Skullerz 8945 Universal Bump Cap Insert. This impact-resistant shell is made of lightweight durable polypropylene and is designed with maximum ventilation for breathable airflow that doesn't compromise protection. An interior foam pad reduces impact but does not absorb odors for fresh all-day wear. Bump caps are typically worn in spaces where worker-generated impact head protection is needed, like low ceilings, beams, low pipes and other bump hazards.

This thing is a lifesaver. Very warm. Not so tight as to be uncomfortable but also not so loose that it'll fall off. If I leave it on with glasses for too long, it can get a little uncomfortable. Otherwise it's perfect. And the insert can come out to be used with some reasonable caps/hats if it's too warm for this cap.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Protects the top of your head and keeps you warm at the same time

I had a head injury from a few years ago. Even though my head is OK now, I like to play it safe and protect it a little more than usual. I work in automotive and there are certain times of the year where it gets cold down here. A regular cap isn't good enough for the cold and even though a regular beany keeps my head warm, it doesn't provide me any head protection under hood. This is the best of both worlds. It keeps my head warm and adds a layer of protection to the top of my head. It does look a little bulkier than a regular beany but honestly, you can't tell the difference. My only complaint is that you do have to readjust the plastic cap once in awhile because it can move a bit. I definitely recommend it though.
