I really wanted the plug in kind because I tend to leave my string lights on all the time but I couldn't find any with the cute little stars that plugged in so I got these which take 3 AA batteries. I actually really like them! They're longer then I expected which is nice and I love the purple color. It comes with a tiny remote to change settings but the thing I like the most is I can dim them. That is such a great feature!
