My only complaint is I have to sit it on the floor on top of a bowl because it is hard to dislodge. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars NOT Dishwasher Safe, Can Be Hard to Extract *by S***W on Reviewed in the United States on January 14, 2013* The current website description states that this pan is "Dishwasher safe hand washing recommended" as a bullet point in the top-of-the-page description. But, on the pan insert itself, it states multiple times that this item is NOT dishwasher safe at all, and hand washing is required. In fact it says "HAND WASH ONLY" in all caps and states that dishwashers will damage the pan. Had I known that up front, I wouldn't have purchased it as I'm an everything-in-the-dishwasher gal (except my good knives). This may or may not be a big deal to you, personally, but thought I'd lead with that incorrect info.That being said, while the concept is super nifty, I wasn't wowed by its use in practice. Beyond cumbersome clean-up, I found that this pan, despite promises to the contrary, can leak slightly and, just like a traditional springform pan, must be wrapped in foil when cooking in a waterbath to be safe. It's also not non-stick (and, yes, I know it doesn't claim to be), but that means it requires a LOT of butter/oil/spray for release, which can still be tricky when you're talking about pushing something delicate, like a cheesecake, out and your crust is breaking up the sides. Or, at least, that was my experience.The directions suggest you place the pan on top of a bowl "the same size as the pan bottom" in order to push items up cleanly. I found this extremely cumbersome and, like I said, lost a lot of my graham side cracker crust on the way out and, even using the bowl as suggested, found it didn't really push up evenly in that one edge invariably came up faster than the other and the top of my cheese cake was breaking apart. You also have to push pretty hard to get started, which can be semi-disastrous, though once it's moving the action is more smooth.While it would probably work better on something with a bottom crust only, I think I'll be sticking with my  Frieling Handle-It Glass Bottom Springform, 9-Inch , which I've successfully used for years (no broken crust or damaged top) ...
