Review: Surprisingly fun changes to the lego video game formula! - I was a little worried when I ordered this game, as the lego franchise (I have played them ALL numerous times!) was starting to get a little stale. I have not seen the LEGO movie, and the last time I played with actual legos was well before they had kits where you build specific items - like a tie fighter or a death star (Yes, I am that old!) That being said, the LEGO movie game has some fun new tweaks. First the colors are spectacular - almost breathtaking. Second, lots of new characters. Third and maybe the most fun, as Emmett, you have to find blueprints and build stuff - and to do that they show you a lego piece and you have to pick it off the list - the quicker you can do that the more studs you get. If you have every built a lego kit, this will probably be easy for you (or your five year old), but for me it was a bit of a challenge at first. I have only done 3 or 4 levels, but I am enjoying the game. I may even go see the LEGO Movie! It is getting great reviews!

A: yes two players play together at the same time. It is just like any other lego game

A: There is a very little noticeable difference, but the game is more interesting to play on the wii u. And also you hace the option to use the game pad as a standalone console.

**Q: is it compatible with the wii**
A: Unfortunately you would need a Wii U.  You can play Wii games on Wii U, but not Wii U games on your Wii.  The Wii U is an upgraded, more powerful system.

**Q: Do any of the Lego Games have a Sandbox mode? I would love to find a Lego game with a Sandbox just to play around making things..**

This was a gift that I had purchased for my daughter and son who happen to be big fans of the Lego Movie. The game is easy to play and provides instructions early on to help get an understanding of how to work the characters. My children have gotten hours of fun out of this purchase. You work your way through multiple levels that follow the actual story line of the movie. It’s great how you collect characters throughout the game to help aid in the progression towards the end of the game. My children ages 8 and 10 were able to complete this game without any assistance from me. After the story line of the game is finished there are several other objectives that need to be completed. This was the first Lego Game purchase I have made and I will definitely be looking into purchasing other Lego video games.
