## Description

RescueMate’s BIGGEST ADVANTAGE; THERE ARE NOT BATTERIES, IT NEVER REQUIRES REGULAR CHARGING like Lithium Jump Starters. HOW IT WORKS: Virtually every “flat battery” has a small amount of remaining capacity, your starter may “click” or your lights barely turn on. While you do not have enough power to start your vehicle, it's enough to charge up the RescueMate Super Capacitors and start your engine, even as low as 3 volts (98% of all jump starts). EASY TO USE: Connect RescueMate to your battery, wait ~90 sec, press run and start your vehicle. If you are on a job site, camping, middle of no-where traveling, you can use RescueMate over & over again until you can get a new battery installed. RescueMate will last for over 500,000 jump starts. IMPORTANT: This product is designed for engines that run well but have a defective or run-down battery. This is not designed for diesel engines over 3L.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does ozcharge rescuemate 12-volt super capacitor jump starter – 750 amp
spark when connecting to the batter? isn't it supposed to be in a off state?**
A: When the RescueMate is connected to a flat battery, it begins charging its internal Super Capacitors. There can be a small spark when the cables are connected to the battery as this process begins.

**Q: Is this device's charging port a standard usb (i.e. micro or usb-c)? if not, that is very disappointing.**
A: No disappointment here! Cable is included. Standard USB for a typical charger. The end that plugs into the RescueMate is a micro USB. Thank you for your inquiry.

**Q: I have a 2005 gto (monaro) 6.0 liter ls2. yesterday my anker brand jump starter rated for 600a failed me. should i get this or the 1000a model?**
A: This was a 2006 GTO I saw with the hood up at my grocery store. The battery was almost completely dead, and the 1000 Amp started it. The owner said he has trouble even with a fully charged battery. I recommend the RM1000 for this engine. Note that we have done extensive testing on 5.7L V8's and have no problem starting with either low batteries (8Vdc or lower) and without a battery. These videos were using our 500 Amp Super Cap. However, your GTO seems to require a bit more current. Go with the 1000 Amp and you'll be happy!

**Q: Will this work with battery monitoring systems?**
A: Yes, this will work when a battery monitoring system is installed. The RescueMate will is designed to start vehicles with "flat batteries". The battery monitoring system likely will give you an idea of the small charging current used by RescueMate, and then should read the current output as it starts the engine. No problem using it with the battery monitor.

Probably the perfect jump starter for most people...

Well after getting my first jump in only a couple days after buying this product, I can now honestly saw that this thing is great.Came out this morning to a completely dead battery on my Ford Ranger. Totally dead. No lights, no locks, nothing. Oh, and to add insult to injury, this was on a lovely 20F morning. In that situation, I knew I wasn't going to get any trickle charge off the vehicles own battery so I popped the hood on my Jeep, attached the OzCharge, and watched it charge up almost immediately. Like seriously fast. Faster than popping the hood. Walked back over to the Ranger, hooked up the OzCharge, gave it a moment to recognize it was connected, hit run and watched as it immediately started counting down from 10. I then jumped over to the igitition, and as soon as I saw lights comes on, turned the key. The truck started right up!Had I not had the second vehicle handy, I know I could have charged up via USB from any phone charger, but as usual I was running late so I was grateful for the immediate charge. If I had to choose one criticism, I wish that the buzzer that tells you when to crank was louder. I used the OzCharge on a really quiet morning and I could barely hear it. It was fairly obvious when to turn the key though since the interior lights came on, etc...All in all this is a great product. I've gone through a half dozen standard jump starters and either their never charged when you need them, or they inevitably die and won't take a charge after a year or two. Lithium ion jump starters are great for their size, but I don't trust their typically cheap construction and don't love the idea of leaving a fully charged lithium ion battery in a hot vehicle. With the OzCharge, both of these concerns are addressed. Based on the technology and heavy duty construction, I expect to get many many more uses out of it for years to come.

You have been warnedYou think you can push a Honda CR-V parked in the middle of the parking lot surrounded by other car on a slight downgrade? This bad boy worked like a champ forgetabout the battery jumper and the cable jumper.

    Excellent Product

A great tool to keep in the car just in case. I've successfully jump-started my car (4.5L V8) multiple times with it. Unlike the typical lithium-ion jump-starters, you don't have to remember to charge it every month or two; just forget about it until you need it. I haven't tried it in cold weather, but according to the manufacturer, it works down to -40 degrees F. This is much better than lithium-ion jump starters, which typically struggle in the cold. I had one that left me stranded when it was below zero--not fun. Also, since the battery is the weakest link in most units and the OzCharge has none, I expect it to last much longer than a battery-based jump-starter.Another thing I like is that the OzCharge's safety features don't defeat the purpose of the product. Many lithium-ion jump-starters have obnoxious "safety" features that prevent the device from working unless it is connected directly to the battery. This is a problem with a car like a BMW or Porsche that requires major surgery to get to the battery. I was able to jump-start one of these cars with the OzCharge by using the connection points under the hood, without having to access the battery itself.Like any jump-starter, there are limits to what the OzCharge can do. On one occasion, it was unable to start my car. I tried jump-starting it with another running vehicle and that didn't work either, so I had to call a tow truck. The car's battery was shot and should have been replaced before it got to that point, so I don't blame the OzCharge.
