Review: this was the lightest weight and best deal I could find for this chair - After much research, this was the lightest weight and best deal I could find for this chair. Would have preferred black, but not for what seemed like about $100 more. I needed the elevated leg rest. I needed a chair I could lift into my car alone while balancing on one leg as the other is non-weight bearing and in a cast. Bottom line is this chair is light enough for me to lift in and out of the car alone, so I'm happy with it. I'll see if it holds up. Some had written about problems with the front wheels and most said it felt too small, as though the seat would tip you forward. I think if the manufacturer used 8" front wheels and put a little slack in the seat fabric (on the vertical part) so it gives when you lean back, it would be a huge improvement. I wheel around with the seat folded down. I find it much easier than when the seat is up. I only put it up if being pushed. Unlike some other reviews, I find it turns very easily. My only issue is that it veers to the left, but to be expected with an elevated leg in a cast on the left side. UPDATE: I have now used this chair for over 4 months. It has been a godsend. I'm very glad I bought it. I do have a couple of warnings. I tried to move it in a theater with the brakes on and bent the elevated leg. Be careful with that. As some noted, it can tip forward. I felt it just coming off a ramp to the street, not coming down the ramp, but at the bottom where it met a different angle. In my case where it met a flat surface. I compensated and have never had a problem, but you do have to be careful.
Review: Great quality for less weight - Great quality for less weight. My arms aren't as sore getting it in and out of car. That is a huge plus for me. The lighter weight is easier to maneuver and easy to handle. I would buy again when I need another new one.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wow, a Light Weight Wheelchair
*by U***O on June 20, 2016*

The Karman is a snug fit, for a 5’5” woman who weighs 175 even though the weight capacity is 250 lbs. Now, for the pros of this light weight w/c: it only weighs 24 lbs.; folds up for putting in the car; turns well (tried it in a tight space); rides good, esp. on a floor without carpet; those thumb holds on the w/c wheel rim are nice grippers…hands do not slide like on the smooth rim…also, there is more distance between the rim and the tire spokes so the fingers do not get caught in the tire wheel; chair fits at the table/desk; interesting design of the hand locks; overall, I am pleased with this w/c and use it my manual w/c. update, 071918: I continue to use this w/c when I go places, but I now use a larger seat w/c as my manual w/c. I do not use the elevating leg rests, but it's a good feature to have. Being able to release the back to a 'lower' position is a wonderful feature. That way, I was able to stay in the w/c while having my right rotator cuff x-rayed. The X-ray Technician was highly impressed with the design and said that she wished other w/chairs had that feature. My main irritation is that the right locking brake has been repaired two different times after the first year of usage.
