This particular spine is their entry level model and is about as flexible as one of my teenage daughters (not SUPER bendy). However I am very pleased with the quality, size and likeliness of a real spine. The construction is solid, I gave it quite a bit of force when I used it as a teaching tool and it help up very nicely. It also transports easily with quick assembly upon arrival to teaching destination.
