I honestly thought I just wasn’t coordinated enough to get the hang of it. On the advice of a friend I decided to try a weighted rope and I’m glad I did. I’ve been using this rope for several weeks and with the 1/2 lbs rope I immediately could maintain a rhythm and not trip over the rope. It comes with two ropes which I thought had braided steel in the center like another weighted jump rope I've seen but these don't, so they were easy to cut to my size. The end pieces for the green rope are a bit tough to separate, but no biggie, you just need to do it one time to size your ropes and you're good to go. I guess it's made that way so the rope doesn't come flying out as you're jumping. The ropes spin very freely, makes you wanna keep going.
