Review: Great customer service - Had an issue with the “bowl” of the chiminea. Contacted the seller. They were extremely helpful. The “bowl” had a large crack in it. My husband didn’t notice until it was completely assembled. Company said they would take it back or I could accept a partial refund. We opted for the refund as it would be difficult to take apart and repack and carry to the store to return (it’s 60 lbs). Hopefully, the crack won’t have an impact on its function. It’s a nice chiminea and the box showed no sign of damage…very strange. I was impressed by how quickly the company responded and rectified the situation.
Review: Lack Sturdiness - Looks great, but the door is not easily secured, and there is nowhere for the ash to go, you have to sweep that out, and it's an awkward process. Had I known, I would have purchased something else for the money.

**Q: Yes, understanding this chiminea is cast iron, but, please, is it rust proof?**
A: I doubt it. This is my second one. My advice...keep it covered.  That is what i do now. Learned from my last one that rusted through.

**Q: how far away from vinyl fence does it need to be?**
A: Mine arrived broken so I have been unable to set it up and use it and don't know how far it needs to be from vinyl fence.

**Q: For burning only fire wood?**
A: Only dry wood should be burned in it. Charcoal would burn to hot and warp the metal bottom. I use a layer of sand in bottom then the wood.

**Q: What are the dimensions**
A: 22.8 inches diameter (round) X 45.7 inches high

I buy chimineas every four or five years as the old ones wear and rust out. This is my third cast iron chiminea, and I have never seen one with better, clearer assembly instructions or such an economy of parts. Very easy to put together (although it still took about 1 hour) and all the holes lined up right. Not heavy to move. Well-packed in the box. I'm going to go ahead and give it a prospective five stars on all counts, and I'll update if it proves to be less durable than expected over time.
