I have had this problem with a few of mine. Trying giving it a gentle tap on a hard surface. If that doesn’t work you can take it apart and try to get the fan to sit properly in its slot or what I did was remove the fan altogether. Unit will still work but at a reduced power rate. If it overheats. It will just shut down. **Q: I'm in canada and going to barcelona...would this be good for my hair drier? ipad? iphone?** A: iPAD and iPhone for sure. I recommend over the adapter blocks. I love how this product is an adapter and surge protector rolled into one! Really saves on having to bring two separate items. I used this for a week long excursion in Italy and it fit the EU outlets/sockets. (Initially I thought it wouldn't fit, but it just takes skillful jamming into the outlet). I was able to safely charge my phone, watch, power banks, etc. I did NOT test this with a hair iron or a hairdryer though so... Proceed with caution or heed the seller's warning. But as long as the voltage doesn't exceed the max limit of 120V, I think it should be fine? I liked how compact the design of this product is as well. Many outlets and USB ports.
