A: The suggested accessories for the FZ1000 on Panasonic's website is this battery, the BLC12.

**Q: is this original panasonic genuine battery? becaue I saw customer wrote the riview, there are chinese character on the battery, not english.**
A: It is a Panasonic Lumix battery.  They are however, manufactured in China.  Amusing indeed that a Japanese company would make things in China, but it is the original OEM equipment just made in China.  No chinese characters on the battery I received it is genuine Panasonic Lumix.

**Q: What do the letters mean at the end of the model no?**
A: Body color.  K is black and S is silver
