Review: Inoperable system - I recently purchased the ACR Guardian system. After installation, I tried to sync the Tag and Hub and was unable to get the Tag to power up (green light would not come on), causing the system to stay in the alarm mode. I sent what I believe is a defective Tag unit back for warranty and will see if the warranty service is better than the product seems to be. So far, I am not impressed.

**Q: If the person who has gone overboard is drifting, does their location get updated as they move?**
A: Hi there, 

This is mainly an alert unit for when someone falls it does not give live updates of the MOB current's location. When someone falls in water it will make the connected cellphones sound the alarm.

**Q: Will this work on 50' boat if not which of their products if any will?**
A: For this size vessel, the range for this product will not work alone. You'll need to purchase the ACR OLAS Core: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084KRZ4YF?ref=myi_title_dp

Then, please test for interferences and if you are experiencing any issues, purchasing an extender will mitigate those interferences and extend range up to 80 ft. Interferences can be caused by the construction of the hull of the vessel, depending on which material it''s made of.

**Q: Will these work even if I lose cell service? When I go 40 miles offshore?**
A: Good question, we have been 30 miles off shore with ours and did not notice an issue. I believe they work like Navionics using GPS. We typically us cell service around 9 or 10 miles offshore here in Texas.

**Q: Does the app have to be open & in foreground? Will the alarm sound if the phone is in silent mode, or volume low? Is there an alt. base or just phone?**
A: System works with phone silent and closed. Not sure about a base unit.
