All the boxes are made from natural pinewood which is plain and unfinished. Each box comes with an attached lid with 2 hinges at the back and a clasp at the front.

Each solid lid is attached at the back of the box with two hinges so you can never lose the lid and will protect the contents from dust, spills and damage. Really pretty boxes, nicely and solidly made with secure catches and a fresh woody smell. The little one's perfect for what I need but I'll soon find uses for the other two.

Ive had other sets like this before, long oval and rounded square, both unusual but attractive shapes, these are hexagonal...octagonal actually, my mistake ! ideal for sorting/storing variouis bits & pieces, hinges & locks work fine, a little rough in some places but nothing a littlefine sandpaper wouldn`t cure quickly... I haven`t decorated any of them and they age & darken slightly, naturally over time and look totally ok untreated. Perfect for storage that can be left on view rather than old cardboard boxes hidden away and these sit nicely when stacked ojn top of each other. A slight "deco" effect to them with the shape and stepped lid....more interesting than plain geometric cubes.
