They've been silent and trouble free for several years now, which tells me that they are likely dampened, or fluxed, during manufacturing process producing what is called dampened steel. If your brakes sing like a song-bird when you stop, your rotors are not made of dampened steel. So its a nice feature of the material/manufacturing process that I didn't expect at a budget-to-mid-tier level. Super happy with this product line from the Raybestos brand.
