## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    Awesome in every way

This 30mm round is awesome and after reading the reviews it is more than I expected. It arrived very quickly although not a prime item. Packaging was secure and round was contained in plastic bag inside cardboard box. Some have complained about a hole in the side of the round, mine has no hole nor sticker; the casing is entirely intact including fired primer. Casing s painted or powder coated a smooth matte black and is pristine with no dents or dings. Judging from weight, the casing appears to be completely empty so it does not represent the weight of an actual unfired round. The "projectile" appears to be turned from solid aluminum stock and is beautify machined with no flaws or scratches whatsoever. Overall length is 11 3/16 inches, Casing is almost 1 3/4 in diameter and "projectile" is approximately 1 1/8 inch in diameter. This will go on display with my A-10 model and will be a conversation piece. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the purchase. If you are a warthog fan, you wont be disappointed in this item

    Great for displaying

Ordered this awesome replica as a decoration for my house. Have been recently going through and decorating with some of my favorite things...weaponry. Hung a sword on the wall next to a medieval style tapestry, going to put a few more up with shields and maybe helms. But for all the old melee weapons, Haven't entirely decided if I am going to get a few more rounds of different types of ammo to put into a display case, or just leave this one sitting out on a desk or table as an interesting paperweight. This is the largest round I can think of, short of actual artillery. Now away from my decorating ideas and on to the product. This is a replica 30mm round that would be used in the A-10 Warthog's giant tank killing gatling gun. It is made of aluminum, and is impressively large. It is the length of my forearm, and 1 7/16th inches diameter at the cartridge rim. The projectile portion is made of aluminum also and has a shiny silver finish of aluminum to it. The cartridge casing has a nice matte black slightly textured finish to it, I assume it is painted. The round is surprisingly light, being made of only aluminum it is substantially lighter than what a real loaded round would be. I have seen other reviews that show people taking the projectile portion off and having a case that you could put things into. I have not pulled the bullet portion out to check on this, because mine is in there pretty tight and doesn't even spin in the case. I might want to leave it tight like that, or I might take it out and fill it up with some medium. Sand is one option, lead shot is another. Either would give this impressive round more weight and make it seem more real compared to the original. If you have any interest in weapons, bullets, guns, or military items, this is definitely something you should think of acquiring for your collection. It really only has use in my mind as a display item, but it will fulfill that role extremely well.

A litte bit of buffing is required. Still worth the buy.

I really enjoy this. I made a display stand for it. And it looks awesome. But it does require some work I wasn't expecting. But the aluminum round came with small pits. Like it had been dropped a few times. The finish was gross. It was as if someone had sprayed hard water and let it dry. These issues required a lot of buffing to get the finish presentable. So if you're gifting this to some one, you may want to buff it before giving it to them. Also it was a little irritating that there's a 1/4"(6.5mm) hole in the side of the casing. I'm assuming this is part of making this case inert. Legally it probably needs to be there. But that wasn't explained anywhere. And no pictures depicted it's presence. The hole isn't really that nice to look at. Especially since it had a burr that no one bother to shave down. And could cut someone's finger if they weren't looking.
