Review: Smooth and bright RGB - Easy to install, bright lights, one thing I don't like is the adhesive pads which should stick a bit stronger. It will come along easily but not really an issue, as you can just replace it with your own pads if you have your own one, other than that I really like the strips, works on aura too. Review: Looks lovely and fittings do stick if you use ipa - Is a nice piece but supplied cable is apparently trash with short connections in the plug meanig they get pushed inside. Overclockers were amazing and sent out a fix for me in surprisingly short time, cannot thank them enough. Funny though the replacement cables turned out to arrive as a CPU! They're sorting to that out, 4 stars for overclockers customer services, would have been 3 for phantek if O/C.uk hand not been there. Will update when I get the cables. Finally received the cables Overclockers are great. Newer motherboards have this and should be 3pin. For my motherboard, X570 Taichi the layout = Pin, Pin, Blank, Pin. If you try to use this with a 4 pin 99.9% chance of frying something. **Q: Have 2 M1 strips individually they fully light up when I try to connect them only 1 3pin on mobo the last 1/3rd doesn't light up any help is welcome** A: You should check your motherboard's software that controls the lighting strips. It probably has a setting for the # of addressable pixels that it will send control sequences to. (ie: A typical Corsair light strip only has 10 pixels so their software will only send out a control sequence of 10 unless you tell it you have multiple led strips connected in series). If it's not obvious, try changing the software to think it's controlling an argb fan or some device with more lights. **Q: My asus prime x570 pro has a 3pin 5v. This will work correct?** A: It might, depending on how many led strips you plan attaching on it. For me, I had to buy the separate phanteks rgb hub because my MSI X570 carbon did not have enough power to control it. Updated to 6 stars for them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Impressed by this despite the odd small flaw *by P***N on 18 February 2021* Despite insisting I'd never go down the RGB route I wanted to add some lighting to my system after upgrading the case and most of the hardware so ended up with this. Some suggest the difficulty of installing this is complicated but for me it went pretty well. To start with, the sticky pads.....don't even let them or the surfaces you intend to stick them to touch your fingers. No matter how clean they are they will spoil its effectiveness straight away. Clean both surfaces, the back of the brackets and the surface you intend to mount, with Iso alcohol to remove invisible traces of dust and dirt and they will stick. Failing that a backup of No More Nails pads cut up will 100% work. 3M is almost enough but it's not the same as 3M which is used to mount dashcams to windscreens. (Update: I bought a second shorter one to add and the pads weren't as effective. Had to use No More Nails!). Other than that it's frustrating that the brackets don't fit within the profile of a fan, that is to say they stick out from the edge so if you have little or no clearance around fans then screwing them on isn't an option. Sticking them on worked however I don't know how long they will last in the summer when the glue will melt I suspect. The strip was easy enough to manoeuvre and took an hour to fit. That was including time it took to swap over a SATA connector though and moderate cable tidying so was no big deal. Installed the colours are more vibrant than I could have ever expected. It looks very similar to neon. Almost too bright at times and with some colours they need to be adjusted to be darker to change alter that characteristic. Animation of moving patterns is fantastic but I got this mainly just to light things up inside with the odd session of music with included light show! I didn't have the issue some mention of the light being dim when used in a chain. Mine is plugged into a SATA powered hub though which might be the difference.
