The natural bristles are a much better alternative to plastic. Definitely have had trouble with the husband scrubbing a too hot pot with plastic brushes and having them melt on us, but that’s never happened with this set! I’ve also noticed that food doesn’t stain the bristles either so everything looks pretty clean.A note about the coconut husk scrubbies- they do shed!
