The "lid" is on par with a plastic bag in terms of it's strength. To make matters worse, you cannot adjust the light and get it closer to the ground for starting seedlings so get ready for some spindly non-transplantable seedlings. The one thing that is great is the light! The light is awesome and I would highly recommend just buying the light and mounting it in a way that allows you to get the seedlings close to it. In other words, this product was too expensive for what you get and the results were innefective.
