This is a premium product from start to finish. It arrived in a cushioned mailing envelope; inside was a sealed plastic package and inside that was a clear container full of saffron threads. I cook a lot, but since I don't use saffron often, I was curious to see if would add value to my recipes. For a test, I infused it into a marinara sauce used to make some eggplant parmigiana. I also infused it into a kale pesto for pasta and a butter sauce for brussel sprouts. After tasting all three dishes it's clear that the saffron adds a great complexity to the recipes that definitely raises the quality.
