All Scuba cylinders need a tank boot to protect the lower surface from damage. The steel cylinders need a tank boot even more with their round bottom design. The boot allows the tank to stand up straight on a stable flat surface making mounting of buoyancy compensators, harness systems and regulators easier. Blue Steels tank boots are specially made for Faber steel cylinders. These self-draining flexible PVC boots are easy to assemble to the tank and provide a streamline profile for tank racks or double cylinder set-ups. The boots are available in multiple sizes to fit the 5.5", 6.7" to 6.9", 7" to 7.24", 8" diameter Faber cylinders.

This boot fit my 30 minute Scott SCBA tank very good .Thanks . That is the 5.5 inch , also the 7.5 inch boot fit my 60 minute Scott SCBA tank with those plastic nets on it . It went over the netting already on the tank . It fit like a glove . They make both tanks stand up and very stable . Thanks

Very Functional. I'm using it as a base for an SCBA (not scuba) tank employed in the hobby of high pressure airguns. It keeps the tank upright and went on quite nicely. Just as a heads up I'm always inclinded to buy more merchandise when dazzled with free shipping so I'm hoping maybe this company will get my hint.
