We recommend no contact with water for several hours after applying the product. I would say 6-8 hours to be safe. The base ingredients are the same of that of an organic body lotion. Is it ok to use on my face?** A: It’s perfectly safe and good to use on your face. The only thing I notice is after it develops if you have large pores (most obvious on my nose) they may look darker too. Like little pin pricks of darkness in my pores. It’s ok though because after I wash my face a couple times they fade to their normal color. If you desire a darker tan, simply reapply it again the following day and so on until you reach the desired color. I applied the medium-toned product to one arm and not the other, to see the difference and I was pleasantly impressed. I’m very fair skinned and I loved the color, looking like I’d been outside for days. But I definitely see missed areas and other areas where I applied too much or didn’t rub in well enough, looking uneven. See pics of unevenness on my foot. Smell started good but after a day, I smell typical tanning lotion smell, which isn’t terrible but def noticeable. Overall, love this product for the color it produces and the natural ingredients.
