I have been diagnosed with COPD in the last 12 months and it has really taken it out of me. Even walking up the stairs leaves me gasping for breath, so exercise as I've known it is out of the question. I have become despondent and uninterested in doing the things I used to enjoy doing. I got these bands a couple of weeks ago, having seen similar handed out by hospital Physiotherapists to some of the people I support through my own work. They have said that they have helped them so at a fiver, I thought why not have a go myself.There are four bands, light, medium, heavy and X heavy. The exercises on the little booklet are just idea's but they are so versatile, much more so than in the book. I've used them daily for my legs and arms/shoulders and though there is no discernable difference on the outside, I do feel so much better. They have been exactly what I needed and are one of the few latex free resistence bands I could find.
