soundcore Anker Liberty 2 Pro Bluetooth Headphones, True Wireless Earbuds with Astria Coaxial Acoustic Architecture, 32-Hour Battery Performance, Personalised EQ with HearID, Wireless Charging: desertcart.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

Review: A very well-rounded product - Some months ago, I needed some wireless buds for working out/running. I had been previously using a decent pair of wired in-ears that I use for live music performance. I wasn't willing to compromise on that audio quality so after a few days of research I settled on three different sets of wireless buds to test out, that had all been independently reviewed as being excellent audio quality, good value for money and designed to be compatible with exercise. The Anker Lib Pro 2s weren't the cheapest out of the three options but I found to be the best in terms of audio quality and ability to perform during vigorous exercise. I had read a lot about a hissing/white noise audible in the background while music wasn't playing or during very quiet parts of mellow music tracks - I haven't found this to be the case in my instance. Further, I have found the sound stage to be impressive. More so than my wired in-ears that I was using with quiet a fancy Bluetooth adapter even! The array of E.Q. pre-sets and E.Q. customisation offers easy to use adjustments to tailor these buds to suit your taste and the intricacies of your hearing. The selection of bud tips and wings allowed me to easily get a good seal in my ear canal, that stays secure, even during long, intense workouts. In summary: they sound very good, they're easy to use, the fit is customisable, the sound is customisable, the battery life is long (wireless buds and case). I can't say I've used them much for voice calls but I made sure to ask the caller of the quality of the audio when I first did and they said my voice sounded "normal". The only very slight criticism I have is that they could be louder. They're loud enough 99 % of the time, sometimes too loud; but every so often, I just wanted them to go one notch louder for a particular song during a workout but I'd already maxed them out but I think that this is well outside the range of what almost all people would need. Great value, great product.
Review: A solid 'what you need' in ear option...with solid SW support - Well made, good fit, amicable sound adjustability for an in ear headphone...has transformed cutting the grass and long walks to the shops forever. Maybe a little lacking in midrange bass, apart from that, they're just what you need. In any case, there are sound engineer created EQ options plus the ability to tune it to your ear or...my own personal favourite...just play with the EQ values for yourself (just wish there were a few more options to play with is all...mind you, I like to fiddle with audio anyways so, that will not likely be of concern to anyone else 😅) Good case also with excellent recharge method optionality and ample standby extension of the headphones. Headphones last about as long as is listed in the desertcart posting and appear built to last with numerous option included with the headphones to perfect their fit. No noise cancelling feature, however, after seeing how poor the option is on my mom's own Sony XM3 wireless in ear headphones, I wouldn't see the point in having it anyway. To be honest, they fit that well and are built out of that quality a material that I have not felt like I'm missing out and will always have to remove one of the headphones to hear people speaking to me in the same room even. Although the physical button presses can be customised, I have found that volume control from the earbuds themselves is a little awkward...however, as pause isn't and I don't often have the need to adjust volume once set in most cases anyways (or I can use my phone's own volume switch) it's not something I'm going to mark down. Maybe this is something that could be improved via SW updates moving forwards...while they're at it, maybe they could introduce things like 'triple clicks' or 'click and hold' options within the SW to expand the number of functions that can be assigned to the buttons moving forwards. Range of the Bluetooth is acceptable managing to just about reach my headphones through 2 x walls while out in the garden while I was charging my phone. Good for what they are, just don't expect over ear can sound quality/functionality.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: any good for watching telly any lag?**
A: The latency is extremely low which is probably due to the aptx Bluetooth codec, so yes they're fine for telly, no lipsync or anything :)

**Q: How well do these (Liberty2 Pro) fit / stay in your ears? I have a 1st gen pair, from kickstarter, and the fit is 'unreliable'.**
A: Really well. I use them in the gym and have never had them fall out yet. I have struggled to find earbuds that stay in my ears before. For me these really work well. Very comfortable as well.

**Q: Are there any control for play, pause, skip etc on the earbuds please?**
A: Yes there is a button on each earbud so you can play, pause, next track, previous track etc. You can also customise buttons to add volume controls via the app. Excellent sound quality for music.

**Q: Hi maybe I missed it but what bluetooth/ipx rating are these? Thanks**
A: Blue tooth 5 and ipx 4

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really great product and only just misses being 5/5!!

Firstly let me start by saying I’m a big fan of Anker products and think they’re an underdog in the tech field that actually offer very good products at the price most would consider very fair. This product is no exception. The packaging is very slick and instantly gives you the sense that the contents won’t disappoint. When you’re buying something that claims to be prestigious or pro, these aspects of the product are very important to me and in my opinion are spot on here. Getting started was very simple. Once paired with your mobile device The ear buds will auto connect each time you remove them from the case, giving you an update on battery power remaining and chiming to suggest the connection is complete. By the time you’ve removed them and safely put them in, they’ll likely have paired and be ready to go anyway. Connection is strong and so far I’ve not experienced any drop outs or interruptions. I can’t comment on this white noise other users are reporting, so far I don’t hear anything like this when music is on or off. Maybe they have defective units and should return for another pair to see if the same problem happens?! Call quality seems strong and clear to the other person from what I’ve gathered. They can tell you’re using a hands free system but that’s pretty normal when you’re not using the phones main microphone. They come with various tips and wings to suit you’re ears. I think for most people what they provide is adequate to find your ideal seal but unfortunately I have larger ear canals and so couldn’t really get that with the ones they offered, mainly in my right ear. Instead I purchased a set off amazon and luckily they managed to give me a great seal In both ears. A good seal is crucial in order to truly be able to appreciate the sound quality these kick out, because it’s really really good. I wouldn’t say I’m an audiophile by any stretch but I know and understand music and it’s production and these buds do deliver a great soundstage. Trebles are nice and vibrant and the bass just sounds really natural and isn’t amped up 10x digitally. The EQ presets in the Soundcore app are all very useful and all unique/tailored to genres of music. A shame you can’t load in you’re own and save a personal bank of presets though. A bit more versatility here inside the app would be great and I hope they look to update an improve this area in time. Jaybird have a great system where users can upload their presets into an online library and it saves a lot of time if you’re not sure how to balance an EQ properly. None the less the presets they do have here on the soundcore app are decent. But a main reason I took a chance on these over Sony WX1000s or the lypertek tevi’s was the hear ID function they offer. Sounds like a gimmick but to me it’s a simpler iteration of what Nurasound offer in their headphones. No one hears the same and sound quality is subjective, so why wouldn’t you want a completely tailored EQ setting for how YOU hear sound?! Such a great feature. Takes around 5 minutes to complete and is almost a sort of basic hearing test played via each earbud independently. You simply hold a button In the app on your mobile when you can hear the frequency, and when you can’t hear it anymore, release. It does this several time’s and voila! It throws out a unique setting for your user experience, and it really does make a difference! The battery is a fidgets delight as opening and closing it is weirdly satisfying but the battery power it can offer is great and so far had no issues with the buds charging at all. Only minor complaints i have with these would be as follows: - when you take an ear buds out when using them, the sound doesn’t stop. I think the new liberty air 2s offer this so is a shame these pro’s do not. Stop start functionality based on proximity is a handy feature to have and I’d have liked to have seen that here. - I have a belkin wireless charger and for some reason the case isn’t compatible with it. Not sure if it’s an output issue or not but I did tweet anker for an answer and so far have not had a response. Would be nice if the case universally charged with any Qi pad. Weird that a main brand like belkin has compatibility problems here. - one more size in both ear tips and the wings would’ve been great to have. You get 3 total but 4 would have been ideal for me. RHA headphones come with around 10 sizes/materials and set a high standard here so would be nice for other brands to match that in their top tier products.
