The Komodo Sport is by far Vibram Five Finger's finest, designed with the more aggressive athlete in mind; these shoes hold up to indoor and outdoor running, hiking trails, and any gym (weight-lifting) activity. Personally, I appreciate wearing my Five Fingers when doing deadlifts, squats, leg press, etc., because it's as if I am doing my leg exercise routine barfoot, providing the best footing.The Vibram Five Fingers are easy to maintain, simply drop them into the washing machine, and allow them to air dry (this is why I always own two pair, to not interrupt being able to use them-if you can afford to do so). I say this because I wear mine without the Five Finger socks, as do most others. I Wash mine regularly, which hasn't weakened the structural integrity of the shoe either. Also, going without socks hasn't never aggitated the skin on my feet. I believe that others that made these statements about the shoes causing them irritation, possibly didn't buy the proper size, so be sure to purchase the correct size. If you're looking for the most aggressive Vibram Five Fingers shoe, the Komodo Sport is a great option, you will not be disappointed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great shoes *by B***N on April 17, 2014* They fit well and they pretty much force me to run correctly. I am 49 years old and an Army guy, but I never really learned to run correctly until very recently. I was at a medical conference and one of the speakers gave a talk on running. While he is a barefoot runner, I can't quite do that, although I did it ally life before I joined the service. My soles just won't take it. These shoes give you protection for your soles that will prevent their injury, but not much else. So you are forced to strike the geound in a way that protects other bones and joints from injury.Some hate the, I love them. Unfortunately, I can't take my fitness test in them, which I think is a prejudice the Army needs to get over, but that ain't likely to happen. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ VIbram KSO - for weightlifting *by M***C on September 18, 2012* Pros: Lightweight (as all vibrams are), offers good protection for the base of the feet, True to size, excellent for squats/deadliftsCons: The LS system is really nice and allows tightening of the shoe, but when tightening it pinches a little at the top - very minor problem, may want to consider the original velcro designLet me preface by saying I am not a runner, I use these shoes for fitness/weightlifting - if you haven't considered the KSOs as a gym rat then you should. One of my biggest problems with my previous shoe was I would feel off balance when squatting or dead lifting.
