A lot of the problems in my case are down to the TV, I know that, but even using an iPhone to test the speed I was only getting a maximum of around 120 Mbps, and while this is fast enough for most applications it should be pointed out that this is with the extender in the same room as the router. Had I actually needed to extend the range of my WiFi network (if I hadn't been using a mesh system already) I would have bought a powerline adapter. They are much better at doing the job, although they do cost a bit more.
