Higher resolution scans will take longer than lower resolution scans. **Q: I need something that won't damage sports cards. Would this be a solution for me?** A: The Brother ADS-1200 document scanner has a curved document path, so it would not be good for scanning sports cards. When scanning media such as card stock, Brother recommends scanning with a straight document path scanner. **Q: Does this work with MacBooks?** A: The ADS-1200 works very well with Macs. To use with a Mac start by going to the Brother website to download the ADS-1200 driver. You will be given a choice of downloading either the TWAIN driver or the ICA driver. On the download page they don’t give you any guidance as to which to choose, but elsewhere in the Brother website I found a statement saying that the TWAIN driver has some compatibility issues with the latest macOS system (Monterey as of this writing), so download the ICA driver. I don’t know why Brother gives you a choice of downloading a driver that may not work. I've found that the ADS-1200 works well with Apple’s Image Capture Application. That’s what ICA stands for.
