My son wanted one to display his collection of hot wheels. When this arrived it was badly broken and made poorly. **Q: I am looking at the 36 X 48 cork board. Is this cork board 1/2" thick** A: The board was delivered to me broken in three pieces I don't think it's thick enough. **Q: Are they fire retardant?** A: I'm not sure really do not know the answer to that question because I don't keep it around any type of fire **Q: I live in a dorm room where i can't leave holes on the walls. Is there a way I could install this still?** A: You can use double side glue tape, tape all four alminium frmae & stick to the wall. It was easy to put up; even though, I use augers for a more secure hold. I love that this company goes even further by providing covers over the screw holes and corner protectors, which can be used post shipping if one likes. Furthermore, I appreciate the price, and the dual sides - cork and white board. The product is built well and sturdy. I bought the 2 pack - lots of artwork as the boys thought it would be cool to use both. So both it was ;) I would definitely buy again, and I do recommend these.
