But before you think I am making this up let me start by telling you the drawbacks:Downside #1For the US customers.. this is measured in centimeters.Simplest Solution: You’re going to have to do some simple math. Use a permanent marker to give yourself measurements in Inches and you’ll be rockin and rolling.Drawback #2There is a small plastic tab underneath the wheel of blades that makes turning it damn near impossible.Best solution:I removed the tab and purposely used a pair of wire cutters to cut one side of the oval. (There is an oval shaped piece on the bottom of the tab that acts as a spring back mechanism. The plastic is far too rigid to operate effectively without a little more “give”. Don’t cut both sides of the oval.. that will just break the tab completely.) Replace the modified tab and you’re good to go.Second solution:Just remove the tab entirely. This option is the simplest but it’s important to note that the tab itself is perfectly aligned to the wheel. When in place the blade will be perfectly lined up with the track you slide it down for cutting. If removed completely, you will have to manually sling the blade onto the track every single time you use it.Drawback 3:The deckling edges are (the arms of the unit which can be used to either stabilize and measure the paper as you cut) arm beautiful on lightweight, thinner paper. Heavier paper such as say.. professional watercolor paper.. well the edges are somewhat violent.Solution:Only use the arms to tear thinner media.Overall:5/5 for price, versatility and construction.No, I wasn’t paid for this review. But yes, this thing is fantastic for creating beautiful decorative edges, folds and perforated edges!I would definitely buy again if this breaks in 6 months time. The trouble is that the instructions were really hard to understand and the packaging was difficult.
