I agree with some of the previous reviews about not ideal for stretching. The reason that is, is due to it can be difficult to screw into the threaded connections without risk of cross threading. If you are careful it can be done but it should be easier as with other brands. I haven't had reactions or inconsistency with size as some have stated but that is highly independent. I had gauges back in high school and college so I bought this as I have not worn any earrings in over 10 years, (used to wear 0g) and felt the desire to do so again and wanted to find my size before purchasing more individual jewelry.It was perfect to identify what size gauge I want, like, and what was comfortable. I have only worn 8g-2g from the set and so far everything has been good and looks nice. I will not utilize the bigger sizes as I do not have the urge to do so but it's nice to have the option. Took the one back out and compared it, one is a 6 and the other is a 4. So i have 3 4gauge and one 6 gauge now. Had to put in a different 6gauge. Dissapointed in the quality control. I bought a set for a reason. I never gauged anything before, didnt know what i was looking at when i bought this set. Bought abother set for the ones im missing in this set.
