The 3mm thickness is perfect for keeping you plenty warm in snorkeling use which is what I bought it for. My only comment is to be careful in the sizing. Unlike other wetsuits where you have to go a size higher than your normal clothes, this one is pretty near to your regular size depending on your waistline. If you have to go one size up (like I did), the legs are a little loose fitting and will tend to creep up a bit; no big deal for me, but it might bother some people. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ready for the Virgin Islands! *by T***F on Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2016* Due to a move inland, I'm diving less and less these days, and mostly limited to tropical vacations. With warmth being less of a concern than packability I decided to pick up a shorty to take in place of my regular steamer. Seems to be of good quality, especially for the price, and the front zip makes it that much easier to get in and out of. @ 5'10" 215lbs the XL was pretty much right on, though I'm glad I'm not taller as it's pretty tight in the crotch.
