## Description

Note that the OoO is a passive speaker and requires an amplifier or receiver to play sound. It cannot play sound directly from a turntable, phone, or TV without an amplifier. Build a great sound system for listening to music or watching movies even when space is limited! The compact Micca OoO speaker sounds much larger than it looks, giving listeners a fully immersive experience with its dynamic and extended sound signature. Its slim shape can be used horizontally as a center channel speaker, vertically as bookshelf speakers, or use with optional wall mounting brackets as surround sound speakers. This flexibility allows a sound system to be built using one or more units of the Micca OoO in phases, with the ability to move the OoO to different locations as needed. Each OoO speaker holds two 3-inch square frame woofers in a ported enclosure, achieving usable bass extension down to 60Hz. The woofer’s woven kevlar diaphragm has been carefully designed to produce little midrange distortion and a naturally steep high frequency roll-off. The tweeter is based on Micca’s popular 0.75-inch silk dome design, using a high efficiency neodymium magnet and small diameter bezel for tight driver spacing. A relatively simple yet effective crossover handles the frequency transition between the drivers. A 6dB/Octave low-pass circuit is used on the woofers while a 12dB/Octave high-pass circuit with level matching is used on the tweeter. The crossover slopes and points were carefully chosen to mesh with the drivers’ natural characteristics to produce a flat and coherent final acoustic response. **Q: Can you mount these to a speaker stand?**
A: Yes

**Q: What specific receiver are you using for there speakers ?**
A: Currently the plan is to use two DamGoo 2-tube amplifiers accepting signals from 2 computers via passive and active mixers in a network comprised of Rockville and EMB equalizers; there are two sets of OoO Micca speakers.  The computer software is mostly Ableton Live v. 10.1.43 Suite (both computers) with a provision for ports hooked into Muse Score 4.0 and Studio 5 (One) for additional MIDI support.  The net is fully compensated for recording and voice input.

**Q: Looking at these for height speakers, thoughts? My room has exposed hvac ducting where the optimal in ceiling placement is.**
A: These were purchased for side channels in my 7.1 yamaha system for surround in the guest bedroom.  Placed in the stereo cabinet.  The ceiling speakers are polk adios for the front & rear channels.  To be honest I haven't run the equalization test to fine tune.  But the construction quality looks very good.  The question would be horizontal or vertical mounting.  They are attractive enough to consider vertical mounting.  It is not recomended to block high & mid frequencies.

**Q: Do these make good tv speakers**
A: Yes they are amazing tv speakers. As stated before your performance will depend on the amp. I am using an old DENON Receiver passed down to me by my dad and after looking up the specs and configuration of the amp I am presently surprised that these little speaker could handle 120 watts. I have own 3 of them for years now and I absolutely abuse then during gaming sessions and movie watching and the just won’t quit. It will take some time ( a lot ) to break them in but be patient and u will love them. FYI these are near field speakers. Sitting more than 6-8 ft away u should be fine but any further and it will not sound as good. If you are a music lover you can’t go wrong.

Very good sound quality from of speaker of this size. Works well even in the living room, but doesn't "fill" the room with sound compared to my larger speakers. Pair it up with a cheap stereo amplifier, you'll have a sound system that beats soundbars costing many times more.
