They created pain on the ball of my foot and behind my toes and in front of my arch, so I could not walk. I removed them. I have very high arches and insteps, but these are rigid and therefore don't work for me but they may for you. They are well made, very thin and quite lovely. I could not get any medical advice online so I returned them. They fit nicely in my shoes. Very high nice arch support. However, there is a small section which supports the big toe only, with nothing under the smaller 4 toes and I felt a painful rubbing from the 1/16" - 1/8" height difference. Maybe they should have a ultra thin covering on them. Walking is possible for me again in these, and have helped increase strength back into the ligaments and I can say my toe feels better after using these for a week.They fit right into a pair of high top sneakers after loosening the laces a bit. Some shoes they won't fit into unless the original insole is removed. If using these as the only insole or on top of an original insole, keep in mind you are going to be standing on a hard surface which may not agree with some peoples' feet, but hasn't been an issue for me.
