The real power is 20 W or 5,5 W?** A: hi there, the optical power of the module is 5.5W. while install the laser module on the machine, the power of the whole laser engraver machine is 20W. **Q: I'm more interested in using this as a benchtop laser. I see the focusing ring is threaded and comes off. Where can I find a collimating lens?** A: I bought one of these (For a NEJE Master to upgrade from 7W) and it failed after only a few days. It was replaced with not problem but the replacement also failed after only a few days. The second unit was never used above 50% power but the thing is that because the power level is pulse width modulated the diode itself still gets full power during the pulses... and it seems like it is not up to the job. Works exactly as described I am 100% happy with my purchase and would buy from them again!! ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Original problem resolved, but only temporarily. *by C***E on Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2019* To put a real perspective on this I had been extra busy at work and so the machine had been used very little when the laser module failed. As you might guess I had decided to upgrade from the 7 watt module so this package which included the 3 amp power unit seemed like a good idea.I am changing this review because the seller has been very helpful, a replacement has been received and the defective unit returned at no cost. Full marks to the seller and Amazon for that. Unfortunately, it is now Dec 25th and the replacement has failed in exactly the same way the original unit did so this time I feel I have no choice but to give this a definite waste of time, effort and money review.There is clearly a problem with the design of the 20 Watt head and this unit has only been used on wood or cardboard and only below 50% power. Once again the 7 Watt head that originally came with the machine works just fine now I have reinstalled it. I don't fault the vendor or Amazon, both of whom were very helpful, but I will not be requesting a replacement this time around because I feel the situation is hopeless.
