Needless to say this makes wearing a shoe on that foot painful. I have tried many products but none have worked for me. This product has done the trick! They provide a cushioning effect and stay in place. They are a little tight and a bit of a struggle to get on, but for me worth the effort. Washable and reusable. Addendum: I no longer struggle to put these on. Once I have cut the tube to the size I want, I fold it almost in half by rolling the bottom portion up on itself, so the inner liner is showing. Slip this over the tip of your toe and simply roll the rest back down, covering the rest of your toe. When removing it, again roll the bottom up on itself and slip the folded tubing off your toe. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ These work great for hammer toes and also for finger joints that pop which is called Trigger Finger. *by C***L on Reviewed in the United States on October 27, 2016* Just got these today. I have one hammer toe, the 2nd toe and tried several different products. This one works the best. I ordered the 1/2 inch size and it is perfect. I cut off a piece about 3/4 inch and pulled it over the toe all the way to the base of the toe. It no longer is rubbing on my tennis shoes. Directions say they can be washed and to use baby powder if the gel becomes sticky. These should last a good while if they can be reused after washing. Each tube should give me 5-6 separate pieces and since I only have one sore toe it is good!!!Update: 2/9/18 - I have been using these for my hammer toes and they work great. I recently developed a problem with my thumb joint which I think is called Trigger Finger. It is the joint nearest the thumbnail and when I bend it there is this awful popping sound and it hurts. It is worse at night. So I cut enough of the tube to cover that smaller joint. I wore it all last night and when I got up my joint was fine. I am hoping this is tendonitis and will go away but if not will need to see a doctor. Ugh! The mid joint that sticks up was starting to turn reddish probably because of the rubbing on the shoes. I was concerned since I am an insulin-controlled diabetic. One podiatrist said surgery, which I really want to avert as much as possible. Two other doctors told me to use corn pads placed on that joint to protect it. The problem with corn pads is that my grandmother used them and I associate it with old, frail people. I know that's a personal problem but there it is. The other thing is that a corn pad on that area would be very awkward and probably fall off during a lot of walking. These toe tubes were perfect, perfect, perfect. I can cut them to just the right length. They're comfortable enough where I don't even feel them under my socks and even during my hikes. I am wearing them throughout the entire waking day. I do remove them at night. These are the perfect size for that particular toe. I check to make sure the circulation is not affected. They're easy to wash and reuse. The reddening joint is doing much better now.
