I had harnesses for driving horses that had to be made with the best materials, and padded up for cross country driving. This product looked like the end all be all of the cinch industry. The company representative was really professional. The dressage girth that the company makes looks incredible-padded and rolled edges. The western cinch is the most expensive. It had no rolled edges, and little to no padding. The padding is velcro that holds a rather thin piece of fleece-that comes off to wash it. The leather was so stiff it looked like plastic, edges that have little give. I guess it works for keeping the saddle in place, I did not keep it to find out. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Must Have!! Especially if you own Gaited horses!! *by M***E on August 8, 2016* Wow! Love-Love-Love this cinch!! If you have gaited horses this is a must have! My one gaited MFT mare is a short-backed sensitive horse with not much wither. Finally found a saddle to fit properly, then had a problem with cinches. I've tried so many different cinches for this girl, and every one of them would eventually slide behind the elbow and pinch to make her uncomfortable. Or worse gall her. I can't believe the difference in my mare's behavior and everything else. She moves much more freely, and is happy. I can't believe someone hasn't thought of this before now. I'm buying another one for my husband's horse. The expense is well-worth the comfort of your horse. ### ⭐⭐ Needs a redesign: caused golf ball sized swelling *by M***A on June 16, 2019* I purchased the fleece lined version of this girth a little over one-month ago. It was used for 30min to 1hr training sessions 5 days per week. I was initially impressed as my horse was able to extend his trot more easily. However, it appears that during the short time it was in use the fleece lining the hard leather exterior lost its padding ability at the midline. At the first horse show attended after purchasing the girth my horse developed a golf ball sized knot at his midline in his girth. I’m so upset for my horse right now, because towards the end of the show he got a little jittery and I assumed it was second show nerves getting to him. Once the swelling came up overnight and I returned to the show grounds I understood his jitters were pain based.
