Review: Easy and accurate. - So far I've had no issues with my meter. I bought this to test the ph of my feeding solution for my plants and I have to say I love it. Before I was only using strips and drops and this is a game changer and definitely a must have when growing plants that only uptake nutrients in a very specific ph range. This is a much better quality and priced meter (in my opinion) than the ones I've seen in any hardware or even local hydro stores. It comes with 3 packets of ph calibration solutions (6.86, 4.00, 9.18) and my meter tested on point every time during calibration. Just make sure to use clean water and peper towels to clean it off and take care of it everytime after you use it or before you put it away or you will ruin or compromise the electrodes.

This is a way better approach to measuring pH than before when I was using the drops and eyeballing the color. **Q: How to calibrate**
A: It should have come with directions and 3 packets of PH calibrating solution.  Mine did.

**Q: How can I calibrate if i dont have the powders?**
A: you can NOT cal. if you do not have the powders.
my three powder bags come with the package.
you can order the calibration powders from amazon. I strongly recommend using THREE point cal. so in this way, I got good results.

**Q: will this work for checking ph level when making cheese?**
A: I don’t make cheese but I do make hot sauce. In my experience it works well but make sure to rinse the probes off when you are done.

**Q: Is it test accurate?**
A: pH meter calibration method:
1. Pour water in the cup (preferably distilled water or pure water) (Don’t use tap water or mineral water, otherwise it will affect the data)

2. Add 6.86 of correction powder (the green one), stir evenly to fully dissolve.

3. Remove the cover of the ph meter, turn it on (press ON/OFF button), immerse the probe in the prepared calibration solution, first look at the reading, if the data is consistent with 6.86 or the difference is relatively small, no calibration is required.
If the value deviates from 6.86, and the value is relatively large, press and press the CAL button for 5 seconds, and the automatic calibration is in progress. It is expected that the value read after 5 seconds is stable, and the calibration is completed.
Finally, clean the electrode with pure water, drying the water on the pen tip in time, and cover the pen cover.

4. Use the same method for 4.00/9.18 calibration powder.

So far I've had no issues with my meter. I bought this to test the ph of my feeding solution for my plants and I have to say I love it. It's a standard pH meter that works great. It takes a little effort to calibrate it, but it's super easy and significantly increases the accuracy more so than it already is. This is a way better approach to measuring pH than before when I was using the drops and eyeballing the color. It takes a little time to get a steady reading, but still shorter than it took with the drops method. Great value.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a problem with my chemical kit. This fixed it

I didn’t know but my hot tub PH was way off. I actually got eczema because I was so off :-( and I kept having cloudy water issues. I knew something was out and I traced the culprit to out of date chemical testing dye, but in order to find out I bought new dye and this tester and did a comparison. It comes with ph powder at various levels so you can check the calibration. Mine was very accurate. Since then I only use this to test my water and it’s been perfect ever since. I also use the test strips, but I find the PH on them to be very inaccurate. I double check every now and then with my pro chemical testing kit and it’s always been spot on. It’s a little flimsy but for the money it’s cheap easy to use and accurate.
