My instructor has been impressed with my progress. Review: Almost perfect - This stinger is heavy duty and does perform well! The only downside is when I go to out my rod in the top insert it doesn’t grab that easy. I find myself wasting more time to get it clamped down than I am stringing an arc. Instead of using the top hole for overhead welding I put it in the side insert instead and just bend my welding rod up. It’s a little bulky at first but is nice once your use to it. I’m a ironworker by trade and do a lot of welding. Nothing one it can arch out as well,which is a plus.
