HSN used to sell 18K gold over silver and I was extremely please at the look, the cost and how it wore. I think the gold was a little heavier than this "flash" coating, which is only a few molecules thick, I think, but I understand that gold sticks very well to silver and I'm not overly concerned about it wearing off. 18K gold over solid silver is very hard to find these days, but it looks like solid 18K and doesn't tarnish.
