The female jack seemed a bit too large in diameter as the headset plug could shift around a bit laterally. I ended up just plugging this in to the passenger headset port in the back, and plugging my headset right in to the front jacks. This worked well, and I didn't have to worry about reliability. I wish this cable had USB power input as well. Because it didn't, and my camera dies too soon if it's not powered, I had to return this cable. Sadly, the one I replaced it with requires me to plug headset through the cable or I only get radio calls and not comm. Odd, but obviously just a difference in wiring. Anyway, if you don't need the power throughput I recommend this cable. The length is fine in a C172, although might be a tad too short if you had a larger plane, or wanted to plug it in to a rear port. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars its like all things aviation - not cheap *by W***Y on Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2016* does the job, but a lot of money for the cable adapter. Hey, its like all things aviation - not cheap.Also the jack that plugs into the camera pulled apart on the first one i bought.Its the best option for the gopro and an aviation headset. Works great. Just don't remove the plug from the camera by pulling on the wire.Be sure to grasp the plug itself.
