I bought this pump to use for a live well I was making.  Unless I was pumping level it didn't work.  It would not move water even a foot up in elevation.

I purchased this pump for my live well and it works great. The only thing that I had trouble with was when I tried to thread it into a shut off valve that's coming from the pickup scupper. The threads aren't grooved enough. I had to put a schedule 80 PVC pipe on the end of it to fit the valve. Put the pump works great. I will be purchasing another for my fresh water tank
