It's close to the consistency of Vitamin E but soaks into the skin better and has a fruity smell to it. The seller offers a break down of everything in it and it's apparently mostly Omega 5 fatty acids. Very interesting, one rarely hears about Omega 5 but I can tell you it does do wonders for the skin. This really is a special oil and I just hope the long term benefits do what I need but I definitely want to attest to the fact that it's definitely a good oil no matter what. It is wonderful on skin! Unfortunately when I ran out and ordered more, I received a bad batch, (oil was cloudy with white crusty stuff on top and a strong smell of bad chocolate). I returned it and placed another order and then yet another order. 3 times in a row, I was sent rancid oil. After the 2nd time I received a nice email from Amazon saying they would look into it and how frustrating for me. And right after this email, I received yet another rancid bottle of oil. I love this product and have tried to be patient but obviously it is not getting me anywhere.
