I'm sure I should have put leather conditioner on the chair on a regular basis over the years, but I didn't, and now there are cracks forming on one of the arms and on the seat of the chair. I don't like the idea of throwing out the chair. It still works, it's comfortable, and I hate the idea of waste. So, I ordered this product once. It's not ideal. Someone derisively called it a band-aid for leather. Yes, that's about it. It can't magically take away cracks and tears. But it covers them up. The dark brown patch doesn't quite match the color of the leather, but that's not surprising. No matter how artful one cuts the patch, it will still be seen as something added onto the leather. But these patches are easy to use, they soft and supple and pliable, and adhesive seems to be working so far. The only problem is that the sheets are now about $15 and only 8"x11". If you have a situation like mine, where there's not just one tear, but more systematic cracking, you might have to buy a number of sheets. I'll have to see how many sheets I want to buy before I give up on the chair.
