The serum looks and feels exactly like water! However, it leaves a nice thin film of protection that makes my skin soft and hydrated. I don't need to use a lot of lotion as usual so I know the serum does do something. I haven't used it that long to say if topical probiotics is a must but it leaves my skin moisturized and glowing.
