As soon as I got it I washed it to see if there was any colour run and there was a very small amount. The fabric is very soft and hardly needs ironing.It can be worn 3 different way, on the hips, on the waist and also hitched up to under the bust.As for the sizing I don't really think it would fit anyone bigger than a 14, or a small 16. I'm a size 14-16 and at the top end of its size range, as I expected. Needs handwashing because of the delicate dyeing, but dries quickly (out of direct sunlight). The waist is smocked so it can stretch. I guess it could fit up to a UK size 16 ( I am a size UK 14 and there is still a bit of a give in the waist. I am 5ft 6in and it reaches my ankles. The hem is not straight there is a slight curve to it so some sides are shorter (not by much) and others longer which makes it unusual.
