The fabric is soft and stretchy but also thick enough that I feel comfortable enough wearing it without needing a bra or tank top underneath (although wearing something underneath would fit well and still be comfortable if I wanted to). It’s very cute and the coins jingle beautifully! ☺️ It is delicate but that was expected for this type of item. You will definitely want to hand wash it so the coins don’t fall off (or wash in a lingerie bag on a very gentle hand wash setting). I haven’t washed it yet so not sure yet what I will do. But it just what I expected and I am very happy with it. The straps that allow you to tie it up so it’s a Belly shirt are also a wonderful feature! As others have said though the strap on top looks a little funky when you choose not to tie the shirt up because the strap just hangs loose... but it’s still a cute top, either way. This one is by far the most suitable. I ordered a medium and normally wear size 6, 34DD. I substract 1 star because the material is thin and stretchy, like a thick legging or thin bathing suit. It gets tied up like a bathing suit by the 2 thin straps around your neck. That is the only place to hold it. So, if you order a bigger size than you would normally wear, it will slide down. It is supposed to hug your body. The center has two more straps. You need to tie them up. Otherwise they look funny hanging in front of your chest. Expect it to be shorter and showing a little skin. I have to wear a black sport bras so that it will not show and looks like it is part of the design. It looks really good with black belly dancing pants, a black coin scarf, and gold coin jewelries. I look really ornate, but that is what belly dancing is all about! Fun and exciting!UPDATE: I ended up sewing the straps to the back following the straps of my sport black bras, so that when I wear my black bras, it does not show. It was very easy. I took me 10 minutes to measure and secure it with a pin before sewing. It works so much better now and the top will not fall down as I shake my boobs. I think this is the design flaw, assuming that people have flat chest. Wearing a strapless bras for dancing is not confortable because the bras will slide down along with the top as you dance, unless you have no boobs! See the picture of the back of my top.
