They feel a little slippery when you put your foot down, but as long as you expect it, it's not a problem. My previous bike had rubber foot pegs and I wore the boot covers more then a dozen times without damage. My new bike has metal pegs for off-road and they tore into the bottom of the boot covers after a few uses.
