They arrived with flakes everywhere and a few were jostled so badly the pastry layers lifted clean off the filling. One other annoying thing is that they are packaged with one plastic sleeve over all six nestled mooncakes so for the week that we ate them, I'd pull out the tray and then wrestle it back into the plastic to keep it as fresh as possible.No matter. These are delicious. If you're a fan of this style of mooncake, you know what's up and you won't be disappointed. I wasn't.For newcomers, these are extremely flaky and are filled with a lightly-sweet mung bean paste with occasional bits of salty onion, which gives it a savory sweetness.
