As to the activities being shot and simple, they are exactly the kind I used when teaching science--6th thruogh highschool chemistry and physics. My approach was to provide something simple to ease kids into the more complicated information. I called them "Fun Labs." Basic topics were introduced and yes, the kids had fun. These activities gave me the opportunity to "pull" from my students ideas for further science inquiry using, "What might change the result? What if you changed............? This was an introduction to two types of variables--dependent and independent. The sky is the limit for further investigations and of course introducing the scientific method. The simple experiments in this book provide possible experimental research for science fair projects. I love simple, quick science experiments.
