Review: Great looking fish! - I have never ordered fish online before let alone through desertcart. But I decided to roll the dice on these guys and glad I did. All fish arrived alive and in good health and have great color. They also came early, and I was really impressed with the packaging. The vendor also packs in a little heat pack to keep the fish warm upon arrival. Would definitely order again. Update: Fish are all still alive and doing great! But the vendor definitely uses hormones to get there colors to shine. After a few weeks their bright and vibrant colors started fading.
Review: Could not be more pleased! - Update 18 mo later - My husband told me I was crazy to order live aquarium fish online, but the reviews were good enough I decided to chance it - I am so glad I did. They all look healthy, have beautiful colors and were very active right from the start. I have a 60 gallon tank so they were a bit difficult to get good pics. They were moving too fast, lol. The delivery was a little wonky. They were to be delivered on the 5th. I received an email notifying me they would be delayed until the 11th. I received them on the 6th. I was really glad I happened to be home at the time! I'm not taking off any stars for the delivery because the fish are so nice. Update Jan 15, 2025: One fish died within a week of receiving them, and one other died about 2 months ago, so, about 16 months old (might have been female, not much color). HOWEVER, of the three remaining, "Big Blue" is very big (probably 6"), "Yellow Boy" is about 4 1/2", the last fish I'm fairly sure is female is about 4" (yes, she looks rather bad)- but WE NOW HAVE BABIES! I can see 2 and maybe 3. I have been watching them grow for the past week. Not sure how they have survived but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I have a 125 gallon tank with pacu peacock bass and oscars would this cichlids be ok or would there be fights???**
A: Oscars are not community fish.

**Q: So are they all 5 males ? Because onky the makes are colorful**
A: Are they all Males

**Q: I have one African cichlid that is 2.5 inches. Will these get along in a16 gallon tank?**
A: Your tank is too small for Africans or most other fish to thrive. Most of these Cichlids will be at least 6+ inches when fully grown, but then again in 16 gallons I doubt they would live that long anyway.

**Q: Can African Chichlids live together with glo fish?**
A: They will if you start them off together. I have them together but they where all put in together.

### ⭐ False Advertising and Dead Fish - Avoid This Seller!
*by T***O on August 27, 2024*

I recently purchased the “Family of (5) African Cichlids 2” Live Tropical Fish Assorted Alonocara Peacock Cichlid Fish" and I am extremely disappointed. The listing shows photos of beautiful, healthy, vibrant, and colorful cichlids, but what I received was far from that. False Advertising: The fish in the photos are stunning, but the ones I received were tiny, colorless, and no bigger than a guppy. This is blatant false advertising. Dead on Arrival: All five fish arrived dead. They were floating in nasty water, which was a heartbreaking sight. I understand that shipping live fish can be challenging, but this was unacceptable. Unresponsive Seller: I tried reaching out to the seller multiple times to resolve this issue, but they have not responded to any of my messages. This lack of customer service is incredibly frustrating. Poor Quality: Even if the fish had arrived alive, they were of such poor quality that I wouldn’t have paid more than $5 each at a local pet store. They were tiny and lacked the vibrant colors promised in the listing. Overall, this purchase was a complete waste of money. I strongly advise against buying from this seller. Save yourself the disappointment and look elsewhere for your cichlids. I hope this helps you convey your experience effectively. If you need any adjustments or additional details, feel free to let me know!
