The reason Moses is the best, is the lessons, insights, and life applications that Chuck draws out of a story that you've likely heard and read several times. If you haven't read this book, I would highly recommend it, although any of the Great Lives books are good to revisit for personal study, sermons, or Bible study material. My favorite part was Chapter 5: "The Desert: School of Self-Discovery." In this chapter, Chuck highlights how we all go through desert seasons where God seeks to train us up, similar to Moses 40 years in the wilderness of Midian and Mt. Sinai. Chuck endearingly calls this God's "Wilderness University" or "Desert University," and describes the 4 "majors" that God provides in his curriculum, as he trains up a man or woman of God.
